PERIODIC, Mongoven's current body of work, began at the Vermont Studio Center last winter as an exploration of embroidery and a denaturing of it's established purpose as a decorative embellishment. Each piece bonds the intangible qualities of light and color with texture, pulling inspiration from traditional quilt making, geometry and pattern making.
